We’re located in the Municipality of Clare on Nova Scotia’s Acadian Shore, approximately 3 hours from Halifax, 45 minutes from the Digby ferry, and 30 minutes from Yarmouth. If you’re arriving from the US, The CAT high-speed ferry from Bar Harbor, Maine lands in Yarmouth – a short drive from our door.
What to Bring
Swimsuit and sandals for the lake and spa. Warm layers for evening firepits and winter visits. Skates in winter (if the cove is frozen - we’ll let you know). Your dog (on leash). Binoculars for stargazing and birdwatching. S’mores supplies. A good book. A willingness to do absolutely nothing.
What We Provide
Private electric hot tub at every home. Full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, and cookware. Bathroom with shower. Bed linens and towels. Wi-Fi. Free parking. Kayaks, canoe, and paddleboards with life jackets (seasonal). Firewood for purchase on-site ($5/bundle, fire-starters $1 each). Wood-burning sauna and Nordic spa access. Community firepit area. Cleaning included in your stay.
Seasonal Tips
Summer (Jun–Sep): Peak season. Book early. Best for lake activities, paddleboarding, firepit evenings, and the longest days. Mavillette Beach is a short drive away.
Fall (Oct–Nov): Shoulder season beauty. Fall colours reflect off the lake. Fewer guests, deeper quiet. Hot tub season starts to hit different.
Winter (Dec–Mar): The hidden gem season. Skating on the frozen cove, sauna in the snow, the darkest and clearest skies of the year. Bring warm layers and your skates.
Spring (Apr–May): The village wakes up. Birdsong, morning mist on the lake, early wildflowers. A quiet time to visit before summer energy arrives.
