On The Water
Clearwater Lake is yours to explore. Kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards are available free of charge for all guests, along with life jackets. Cast a line from the dock, cool off with a swim, or just float and watch the clouds. The lake’s sheltered cove keeps the water calm and the mornings mirror-still.
Under The Stars
Tiny Village sits within the Acadian Skies & Mi’kmaq Lands Starlight Reserve — the first in North America, certified by the UNESCO-backed Starlight Foundation. The skies here are among the darkest on the continent.
On a clear night, you’ll see the Milky Way, meteor showers, and constellations with a clarity that is genuinely rare. No telescope required. Just look up.
By The Fire
Each accommodation has its own firepit area, and there’s a shared community firepit by the beach. Firewood bundles are available on-site ($5 each, with fire-starters for $1). Check the fire index daily if conditions require a campfire ban. If not, bring the s’mores!
Winter at the Village
This is not a summer-only destination. Winter transforms the village into something magical. The cove often freezes, opening up skating on the lake. The sauna and hot tub feel even better against the cold air. The skies are at their darkest and clearest. And the quiet… the deep, snow-muffled quiet, is unlike anything else. Bring your skates and ask us where it’s safe to venture out.
Best Sunrise View
With the tiny homes and cottages facing the lake toward the east, you get front-row seats to some of the most stunning sunrises in Nova Scotia. As much as you’ll want to stay in bed all morning, you won’t want to miss these.
Pet-Friendly
Bring your dog. They’re welcome in all our homes, on leash when outdoors. Pets cannot be left unattended, but if you need a day out, we can recommend a local boarding kennel just minutes away.
