Hot. Cold. Rest. Repeat.

Our Nordic spa is the heart of the Tiny Village wellness experience. Built around the ancient practice of thermotherapy, it’s designed to bring your body and mind back to a place of deep, genuine calm.

Every tiny home and cottage comes with a private electric hot tub. But when you’re ready to go deeper, our shared thermal circuit takes you through the full cycle: intense heat in the wood-burning sauna, the rush of a cold plunge, and the profound stillness that follows.

The Thermal Circuit

Step 1 — Heat (5–15 minutes)

Step into our wood-burning sauna or sink into the wood-fired hot tub. Let the heat soften your muscles, open your pores, and quiet your thoughts. Your private hot tub works beautifully here too.

Step 2 — Cold (10–15 seconds)

This is where it happens. A cold plunge in one of our tubs, stand under the cold shower bucket, or a full-body dip into Clearwater Lake if you’re feeling bold. The shock sends blood flowing, releases adrenaline, and wakes up every part of you. Even a walk in the cold winter air works.

Step 3 — Rest (15–20 minutes)

Sit by the fire. Relax in the sauna bench entrance with Milene (one of warmth-loving cats). Swing in the hammock. Feel the endorphins arrive. This is the moment the body resets — heart rate settles, breathing deepens, and a calm you didn’t know was possible takes hold.

Repeat three times during your stay for the full benefit. You’ll sleep like you haven’t slept in years.

What Is Thermotherapy?

Thermotherapy involves cycling between hot and cold temperatures, followed by rest. It’s a 2,000-year-old Nordic tradition backed by modern research. The cycle of heat, cold shock, and rest triggers a cascade of physical responses — improved circulation, endorphin release, reduced inflammation, deeper sleep. Three full cycles is the sweet spot.

Benefits

Stress reduction and mental clarity. Improved circulation and blood flow. Natural detoxification through sweating. Relief from muscle soreness and joint pain. Deeper, more restorative sleep. Healthier, more radiant skin.
